Wi-Fi Calling Setup

Wi-Fi Calling lets compatible phones and services use a Wi-Fi internet connection for supported calling functions when cellular coverage is unavailable or limited.

Before Starting

Make sure:

  • Your eSIM is properly installed
  • Your plan supports Wi-Fi Calling
  • Your phone supports Wi-Fi Calling
  • You have a stable internet connection
  • Any required emergency/service address has been entered correctly

Basic Setup

  1. Connect your phone to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open cellular/mobile settings.
  3. Choose your Carrier Wireless line.
  4. Locate Wi-Fi Calling.
  5. Turn the feature on.
  6. Complete any prompts displayed by your phone.

If Wi-Fi Calling Does Not Enable

  1. Restarting your phone.
  2. Connecting to a different reliable Wi-Fi network.
  3. Turning airplane mode on and off.
  4. Confirming the eSIM is enabled.
  5. Confirming the correct line is selected.
  6. Installing available operating-system updates.
  7. Connecting to a reputable VPN and selecting a U.S. server where appropriate.
  8. Returning to the Wi-Fi Calling settings and trying again.

Using a U.S. VPN server is a troubleshooting technique, not a guarantee of activation.
